What is a Manual Gantry Crane?
Also known as Portal crane or Goliath crane, it is the system for holding up barrels. It is stable under load and provides an economical lifting solution to lift materials inside the manual gantry crane.
Working:
A manual gantry crane is the form of an overhead crane with a one or two girder arrangement assisted by independent and separate legs. It is movable through wheels along with a railing system. It is used for lifting bulky cargo or objects. The manual gantry crane can lift heavy things anywhere in the workshop or yard using a chain block.
Features Of Manual Gantry Crane:
Capacity: Maximum Capacity is 10 tons to 30 tons and below.
Design: Special modular design with the capability of meeting various requirements.
Automation Grade: It can be easily broken down into several movable parts.
Material: Mild Steel
Move Mode: Push, Turn around, and oblique moment. Various applications with indoor and outdoor setups as well.
Appropriate for transporting materials inside and outside of workshops.
Lifted cargo can be moved in any direction. Appropriate for the environment, which is limited by the working area clearance.

Types of Gantry Cranes
Depending on the type of structure and application, gantry cranes can be identified in different kinds. Following are some common types of Manual Gantry Cranes,
Full-Gantry Crane
It is the most common type of gantry crane. It has two separate legs that can move across fixed trails. Vehicles can easily pass under the crane. This type of crane is used in the dedicated work area. The trolley moves within the foremost span, and the beam has no suspension.
Semi-Gantry Crane
Usually, one leg of a semi-gantry crane runs along a track on the surface while the other runs along a runway system settled on a wall or any distinct upright arrangement. Height difference can be determined very quickly between the two legs depending on your installation situation and conditions.
Adjustable Gantry Cranes
An adjustable gantry crane is adaptable. However, it comes with a variety of height and span designs. Adjustments could be made with the base width, height, and horizontal beam length per the client's load requirements.
Single Girder Gantry Crane
It consists of only one girder and rail. Usually, the trolley and hoist are under-hung. They run on the bottom of the bridge. It is a light to medium duty crane suitable for areas with limited floor space and low headroom. It also provides cost-effective lifting solutions.
Double Girder Gantry Crane
This type of crane consists of two girder beams that proceed the bridge. It usually consists of a top operating trolley and hoist. However, under-running designs are equally commonplace. It is accommodated for heavy-duty utilization.
Portable Gantry Crane
A portable gantry crane is easily manageable and can be transported from one place to another easily. Therefore, it provides high flexibility, but it is small and can handle small loads only.
